Ai, Rebel: The Art and Activism of Ai Weiwei

Overview
This exhibition marked Ai Weiwei’s largest-ever US exhibition and for the first time in its 90-year history, SAM presented the work of one artist at all three of its locations at the same time. The exhibition was featured in The New York Times and the Seattle Times.
My role
I lead our creative campaign development timeline and workflow and the production of our creative asset suite from kickoff and throughout the duration of the exhibition, totaling over a year.
In order to successfully produce several aspects of the exhibition, including the environmental graphics, I initiated the creation of a first of its kind cross-functional team to connect the Creative Studio, Curatorial Division, Interpretation team, and the Exhibition Designer.
I also lead our contract video production team, Seattle Video Productions, in addition to our staff photographers and videographers. This campaign challenged me to one of the most demanding days of my career: I coordinated our artist interview video production and 4 photoshoots across three locations, one involving over a dozen models, all in one day, serving as the central point of contact for over two dozen people.
